Ingredients
  • 1 clove of white spring garlic
  • 420 grams of flour
  • 150 ml of lukewarm water
  • 15 grams of Fresh Yeast
  • 10 grams of finely chopped onion
  • 8 grams of coarse salt
  • 10 grams of sugar
  • 5 grams of Sesame Seeds
  • 50 ml of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Step by step
  1. Peel the garlic clove and chop it as finely as possible.

  2. In a saucepan, we warm water, without letting it boil.

  3. In a small bowl, place the warm water and add the fresh yeast.

We mix it well, until it is completely dissolved in the water.

  4. In a large bowl, place the flour, chopped garlic, chopped onion, salt, sugar, semolina seeds, and oil, and pour in the water along with the yeast.

  5. We mix well and knead until we form a homogeneous ball.

  6. We will leave the ball covered with a cloth, near a hot surface, for about 20 minutes, to ferment.

After this time we divide it into 4 parts, and stretch it out with the help of a rolling pin.

  7. We cut into strips about 20 cm long by 1 cm wide, shape them into cylinders and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper (oven parchment paper).

  8. We bake at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy.

  9. FINISHED DISH:

We place the breadsticks in a glass or bowl and serve with grated tomato, salt, and oil.

:

Breadsticks are great as an appetizer with some Iberian ham or salmorejo…

Being a crispy bread, it is good for adding texture to our dishes, such as salads, as well as decoration.

We can melt chocolate and, when it's liquid, dip half of the breadstick in it, so it has one part chocolate and one part plain. Sweet and savory.

Don't miss a thing!
