Easy
We remove the stems from the strawberries, wash them and cut them into quarters.
In a saucepan over medium heat, add 100 cl of water and the sugar until it dissolves.
We lower the heat and add the cinnamon stick, peppercorns, and star anise.
When the liquid begins to thicken, add the strawberries and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and add the cloves of black garlic.
FINISHED DISH:
In the center of a plate we place the strawberries and drizzle the syrup from their cooking over them.
We garnish with cinnamon, star anise and black garlic, and add a few pine nuts on top.

– This dessert can be eaten both freshly made, that is, hot, or cold.
– The contrast between the sweet flavors and the spices is very pleasing to the palate.
– We can use white, pink, or black peppercorns, always in small quantities, approximately 4 peppercorns of each. In our case, we have mixed the 3 peppercorns, keeping in mind that the flavor of the pink and white peppercorns will predominate over the black.
