Crunchy Chocolate and Garlic Nougat

When we think of Christmas, turrón immediately comes to mind. And since we have a real sweet tooth and love it, we've prepared a chocolate bar with a BIG touch of chestnut garlic. Who dares to try a garlic turrón?

Ingredients
  • 4 cloves of brown garlic
  • 125 gr Pure Chocolate
  • 125 Milk Chocolate
  • 50 grams of puffed rice
Step by step
  1. We peel the garlic cloves, slice them and chop them into very small cubes.

  2. We will cut the chocolate into pieces, so that it is easier to melt.

  3. Now we're going to melt the chocolate using a double boiler, so we'll repeat this process for each type of chocolate. Fill a saucepan with water to less than half full and place it over medium heat, but don't let it boil. Inside the saucepan, place a glass or metal bowl that's in contact with the water, but not so that water can get into it.

  4. We can present our Turrón on a tray, in a Christmas basket, or wrapped in food paper.

  5. Add the chocolate and stir it with a spatula so that it thickens and doesn't stick.

  6. Once it's completely melted, add the garlic and puffed rice. Stir well to ensure it's evenly distributed throughout the chocolate.

  7. FINISHED DISH:

Once the mixture is ready, remove the bowl from the saucepan and fill the molds with it. Let it cool for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator, until firm, then unmold.

_Miguel Ángel Mateos:

– If we like flavored chocolate, we can add a few drops of blackberry, apple, peach liqueur… to the mixture.
To add more texture to the turrón, we can add raisins, chopped nuts, and other ingredients along with the puffed rice. This will add both flavor and texture.
– It is a dessert that we can adapt to our liking, using the variety of chocolate that we like best.

Don't miss a thing!
